Tigres Beat Indios in Play-off

The Avilanian Tigres staged the triumphal return to their headquarters Jose Ramon Cepero Stadium, after defeating Guantanamo squad 7-2 for the second time in a row in the playoffs of the 49th National Baseball Series.

Right hander pitcher Maikel Folch worked in front of over 8000 followers nine innings allowing 6hits and runs to take Tigres to their second victory in play-offs at Jose Ramon Cepero Stadium.

Among outstanding hitters were first baseman Adonis Garcia( hit, 3 RBIs and a homer), catcher Lisdey Rguez (2 singles, a double amd batted 2 men in).

Second baseman Mario Vega and center fielder Yoelvis Fiss also hit 1 homer each with bases empty and left fielder Ricardo Bordon with a couple of hits and batted a man in.
Guantanamo’s pitching staff was opened by starter pitcher, loser Yunier Colon who allowed 5 hits and 3 runs in two innings and he was fooled release pitchers Frank Navarro, Roenis Elias and Yoenni Turcas.

The only effective response of manager Augustine Lescaille’s hosts emerged in the ninth inning, when the second baseman Yoilan Cerce hit the ball and batted two men in.

Ciego de Avila won with Ricardo Bordon (LF), Mario Vega (2B), Adonis Garcia (3B), Yolevis Fiss (CF), Isaac Martinez (D), Yorelvis Charles (1B), Raul Gonzalez (RF), Lisdey Díaz ( C) and Yorbis Borroto (SS).

Guantanamo lose with Dain Moreira (SS), Yoilan Cece (2B), Giorvis Duvergel (CF), Yoennis Southeran (1B), Vismaya Santos (3B), Kenen Bailly (LF), Michel Gorguet (D), Roberto Borrero (C) and Onelio tavern (RF).

In the other game, held the same day, of the Eastern League, Villa Clara defeated Santiago de Cuba 12-1.
